Program Description

Event Details

Join us on February 13 at 7 pm with Pamela Morris-Nila as she presents “Postcards as a Genealogy Research Tool”.

Postcards were in wide use from 1890 to 1960. A postcard contains the address of a receiver and the exact date the postcard was sent to that person at that location. This is especially helpful in tracking the locations of ancestors from 1890 and 1941 forward. During this program, we will provide an overview of postcard history and why this is important to your genealogical research; investigate various postcard databases; discuss various use cases; and learn how to cite postcards per genealogical standards.
