Sunday Afternoon Concert Series: Algería Ensemble from the Aaron Copland School of Music

Alegría Ensemble is a classical piano trio based in Queens, NY.  Chloë Dickens, Sara Juneau and Ricky Moreira met as graduate students at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College where they earned their Master of Music degrees in Classical Performance. Bonding as friends and as a prize-winning trio at the Copland School, Chloë, Sara and Ricky are forging ahead as a professional ensemble. Last year, Alegría performed at family concerts sponsored by WQXR and performed an interactive version of Saint-Saëns’ “Carnival of the Animals” at New Rochelle Library for enraptured elementary school students.  Introduced and moderated by Prof. Edward Smaldone. Works by Bloch, Haydn, Mandelbaum, Miranda, and Smaldone.
