Recommended for children ages 6 months - 5 years.

In order to accommodate more families, please choose only one session of Play Hooray per day.

This class is for people who are not comfortable getting up and down from the floor as in a regular yoga or fitness class. Class will start with breath and centering exercises and proceed to movement with proper alignment.
All exercises will be either seated in a chair or with the support of a chair in standing. We will focus on keeping the joints mobile and stable. Flexibility and balance with the support of the chair will also be incorporated.

Priority will be given to Manhasset library cardholders.  Non-cardholders will be placed on a waitlist to be added if space is available 1 week prior to the first class. 

Fee is $60 and must be paid in full at time prior to the first class.  No refunds.  Cash, check and credit card accepted.

Join Mary Lou for a combination class of stretching, low impact cardio, and strength training with light weights (participants bring their own weights).

This is a class for everyone!  Revitalize your body, relax your mind, and reduce stress with slow, gentle standing flows and floor asanas (poses) to increase your strength and flexibility, and improve breath capacity.  Strong emphasis on foundation using props (chair, blocks, straps, etc.) to assist with proper alignment. In this class, you will develop strength, flexibility and balance in a supportive environment.

Please bring your own mat and any props you might want to use.  Some props will be available to borrow.

Fee for the 6 session class is $60 and must be paid in full at time of registration.  No refunds.  Cash, check and credit card accepted.

For ages 3 - 5 years (with a caregiver)

Children will enjoy songs, stories, rhymes, and a craft or activity. Due to limited capacity each child is limited to one caregiver.
Please note: This program will include crafts potentially unsafe for children under the age of 3.

The Manhasset Library welcomes adults of all ages and artistic skill levels to explore their creativity via Adult Paint Night classes which will be held once a month, on a Monday night, from 6:30-8pm.
All materials will be supplied and every participant can create a painting in any style and color scheme of their choosing. 
 

Link movement and breath through yoga sequences to not only gain more flexibility, but also increase strength. We will learn a series of posture sequences, with focus on core and posture.  Additionally, we will always include some lower back and hamstring stretches- important for people hunched over a computer, school desk or phone. 

Please bring:
*Mat (preferably 1/2in thick)
*Towel
*Pair of 3 lb. weights (optional)
